Kelsea Ballerini and Noah Kahan’s collaboration on “Cowboys Cry Too” began with a straightforward message. And in honor of the twangy slow-jam getting here Friday (June 28), the previous common specifically just how she connected to the last to obtain him to consent to the cooperation– not that it took much convincing.

The 2 celebrities initial teased their cooperation in May, when the “Dial Drunk” vocalist signed up with Ballerini for a joint efficiency of his Billboard Hot 100 leading 10 hit “Stick Season” and her 2023 ballad “Mountain With a View.” They revealed “Cowboys Cry Too” simply 2 days prior to it went down, with Ballerini writing, “so proud and excited to release this first song in a new chapter of music” on social media sites and Kahan responding, “Can’t wait for this.”
