Katy Perry Tosses Credit Card Into Trevi Fountain for ‘Good Luck’

Katy Perry recently added a touch of humor to her Italian getaway, jokingly threatening to sacrifice her credit card to Rome’s iconic Trevi Fountain in pursuit of good fortune.
In a lighthearted video shared on Instagram over the weekend, the pop star playfully mimicked the age-old tradition of tossing coins into the landmark, humorously substituting currency for her bank card as a quip about her relationship with loose change. “Y’all, I told you in ‘Save as Draft’ that I don’t f**k with change,” she quipped, referencing her 2017 lyrics, before deadpanning, “But I feel like I need to put something in the Trevi Fountain for good luck.”
The star quickly retrieved the card before it drifted too far, keeping the moment strictly comedic. This playful snippet was part of a broader collection of travel photos Perry titled “Just Rome’ing around,” which offered fans a glimpse into her relaxed, off-duty persona during her European travels. Her trip also reportedly included an exclusive performance at the La Nuvola convention center.
These social media updates follow a tumultuous week for the singer. Earlier, Australian actor Ruby Rose brought forward serious allegations, accusing Perry of assault during an incident in Melbourne years ago—claims that Victoria Police have confirmed are currently under investigation.
Representatives for Perry have vehemently denied these assertions, officially labeling the accusations as “categorically false” and “dangerous, reckless lies.”
Prior to her Italian retreat, Perry made headlines for her attendance at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, where she was spotted in the audience alongside Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during Justin Bieber’s set—marking another recent high-profile public sighting for the pair.
