Widely regarded as one of 2025’s standout action titles, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is prepared to expand its horizons next month. The upcoming Sega Villains Stage expansion will challenge Joe Musashi with a gauntlet of legendary adversaries from throughout Sega’s storied history, while introducing a significant wave of additional content.
The centerpiece of this DLC is the arrival of three formidable bosses: the mechanical genius Dr. Eggman from Sonic the Hedgehog, the brutal Death Adder from Golden Axe, and the unpredictable Goro Majima of Like a Dragon fame. Each antagonist has been meticulously reimagined to fit the game’s striking visual aesthetic. You can catch a glimpse of these legendary foes in the trailer below:
In addition to the high-profile boss encounters, the expansion includes:
- Five brand-new stages inspired by classic Sega franchises.
- Two distinct Boss Rush modes for ultimate skill testing.
- Three powerful new Ninpo abilities.
- Three fresh cosmetic outfits for Joe Musashi.
- Six original music tracks to bolster the soundtrack.
Accompanying the paid content is a complimentary update for all players. This patch introduces a punishing Hardcore Mode, various balance adjustments to the combat system, and quality-of-life refinements to the map, tutorial displays, and character outlines.
The Sega Villains DLC is scheduled to launch on April 3 across all platforms for $9.99. Players who own the Digital Deluxe Edition will receive the content at no additional cost upon release.
