British indie-rock vanguard Jamie T has officially revealed plans for his highly anticipated sixth studio LP, titled Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning), slated for release on October 9 through Polydor Records.

Comprising 11 original compositions, the South London singer-songwriter’s latest offering serves as an introspective reflection on elapsed years and the lingering spirit of mid-2000s indie music. The project delves deeply into the personal fragments of identity that slowly turn into phantom echoes over time.

“We all shelter aspects of ourselves that we hide away, even from those closest to us,” Jamie Treays explained. “To me, Ghosts represents confronting that long-lost self and attempting to reclaim it. This entire record is centered around reconnecting with that essence.”

Accompanying the record announcement is the lively debut single “3310”—an homage to the legendary retro mobile handset. The cut arrives alongside a scenic coastal music video helmed by director Rob Thorogood.

Ghosts (100 Days Of Morning) arrives as the successor to 2022’s chart-topping The Theory Of Whatever, which secured the No. 1 spot on the UK Albums Chart. In the period since, Treays achieved a milestone career moment by headlining a massive 40,000-attendee concert at London’s Finsbury Park—supported by IDLES and Kojey Radical—and later collaborated with electronic heavyweight Fred Again.. on the rework track “Lights Burn Dimmer,” which re-imagined Jamie’s 2023 song “Hippodrome.”

Reflecting on that partnership during an interview on BBC Radio 1 with Jack Saunders, Treays noted: “Writing that track originally stemmed from a challenging chapter of my life. Hearing Fred’s interpretation revealed an underlying sense of hope I hadn’t initially recognized, transforming the piece into something deeply euphoric and uplifting.”

To celebrate the upcoming release, Jamie T is staging an exclusive, intimate preview concert at London’s Scala, marking his return to solo headlining performances since his landmark Finsbury Park gig.

Ever since capturing critical acclaim with his Mercury Prize-nominated 2007 debut Panic Prevention, every single one of Jamie T’s subsequent records has secured a top-tier placement in the UK top 10. His illustrious festival history includes several standout performances, including topping the Woodsies Stage lineup at Glastonbury.
