It’s KATSEYE, Bitch: Girl Group Pays Tribute to Britney Spears with Dance to Iconic Hit

Long before KATSEYE amassed a devoted following of EYEKONs, the group’s members looked up to pop legends. In a freshly posted clip, two members — Megan and Lara — pay a clear tribute to Britney Spears.
Shared to Instagram and TikTok on Nov. 10, Megan and Lara rehearse in a low-lit dance studio, moving in precise unison as they spin, slide and flip their hair to Spears’ early-2000s smash “I’m a Slave 4 U.” At one moment Megan mouths the phrase “Now watch me,” holding an intense stare for the camera.
Viewers in the comments responded enthusiastically, with many praising the reverence and energy the duo bring to the homage — one fan even wrote that the clip channels the exact spark the current pop landscape needs.
The post arrives days after KATSEYE earned Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their single “Gabriela.” In an interview following the announcement, Megan said the group chat — which includes Daniela, Manon, Sophia and Yoonchae — was “blowing up,” as everyone celebrated the recognition.
“Any award or nomination means so much to us because we work so, so hard,” she added, noting that the honors felt like validation for the band’s long hours and dedication.
Spears herself was once in the running for Best New Artist — she lost to Christina Aguilera in 2000 — and later scored her first Grammy in 2005 when “Toxic” won Best Dance Recording after reaching the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10.
Honoring pop forebears isn’t new for KATSEYE: the six-piece previously referenced Mariah Carey’s iconic videos and even spoofed a viral red-carpet interview with Billboard in the visual for “Gabriela.”
