Insider Reports Dave Bautista Cast in New Star Wars Project

Dave Bautista is reportedly lined up for a role in a new Star Wars project alongside being in contention for the lead role in the God of War adaptation.

Insider MyTimeToShineHello reported that Dave Bautista landed a role in a new Star Wars universe project. She did not reveal any details, so it remains unknown whether the project is a feature film or a series. Disney and Lucasfilm have not commented on the information.

At the same time, the actor is up for another major role. According to Variety, Bautista is in talks to join the God of War series, where he could play Kratos. He is reportedly set to replace Ryan Hurst, who left the project after suffering a severe biceps injury and undergoing subsequent surgery. Hurst’s recovery could take up to a year, prompting creators to move forward with production without delay and find a new lead actor.

If both deals go through, Bautista will join two major franchises almost simultaneously. His involvement has not yet been officially confirmed for either Star Wars or God of War.
