Humorous Fantasy Forsaken Realms Gameplay Reminiscent of Fable
The developers behind Forsaken Realms unveiled the debut gameplay footage of their upcoming action-RPG during the New Game+ Showcase 2026.
Evoking the whimsical spirit of the Fable series, the project transports players into a meticulously crafted fantasy realm. Players take on the role of a mercenary driven by a singular ambition: to amass a fortune as quickly as possible.
The connection to Fable extends beyond the third-person perspective and fairy-tale aesthetic, as the game also embraces a signature sense of absurd humor. A prime example occurs around the three-minute mark of the trailer, showcasing a quest where the protagonist must repel an invasion of aggressive garden gnomes.
Forsaken Realms: Vahrin’s Call is slated for a 2026 launch, initially arriving on PC via Steam. During the presentation, the developers also confirmed that console versions are currently in development and will be released at a later date.
