ONE YEAR AND FIVE MILLION DISPATCHERS LATER…

Happy One-Year Anniversary, Dispatchers!

Exactly one year ago today, you punched in for your first episode of Dispatch. Since then, more than five million players have joined the roster, a number that still leaves us a little dazed.

First things first: thank you. 💙

Now hold on tight: we have plenty to share. There are fresh ways to experience Dispatch, a first peek inside the physical edition, a collector’s art book, the announcement of the Dispatch mobile release, details on getting tickets to a live concert of the soundtrack, new merch, and a full month of giveaways.

Skim the infographic below for the quick version, then keep reading for everything else.

AVAILABLE NOW: COMMENTARY & STORYBOARD MODES

As of this very moment, owners of the Deluxe Edition DLC receive two new behind-the-scenes game modes at no extra cost. If you don’t have the Deluxe Edition yet, you can pick it up at 20% off.

CAST & CREW COMMENTARY

Enjoy more than 16 hours of commentary spread across every episode, with two tracks to pick from in Settings: Cast or Crew. Your choices in the story unlock different commentary, so each playthrough can reveal fresh insights. You’ll hear from Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, and other members of the cast, as well as the people who wrote, directed, and designed the game.

Browse the episode list here to see which cast and crew members appear in each episode. Bear in mind that your choices determine which commentary you unlock, so your lineup may differ from the one listed.

STORYBOARD MODE

Experience all of Dispatch as it was first sketched. Watch every episode from beginning to end as the original storyboard animatics, and see how scenes and characters took shape before a single frame was animated.

HOW TO GET IT:
  • Already own the Digital Deluxe Edition? It’s yours for free. Update the game, open Settings, and choose your mode.

  • Haven’t upgraded to Deluxe yet? Upgrade for $10.99 to receive Storyboard and Commentary Modes, along with the digital art book and all four digital comics.

  • Platforms: Every platform that sells the Digital Deluxe Edition.

  • Price: Free for Deluxe owners; $10.99 for the Deluxe upgrade.

DESIGN WORKS: THE ULTIMATE MAKING-OF

Some months back, we revealed Dispatch: The Album, a collaboration with Lost In Cult. Today, we’re deepening that partnership with Dispatch: Design Works, a hardcover book and collectible box that explores the entire game behind the scenes, drawing on hours of interviews with the cast, the developers, and others.

If you’re the type who reads art books from cover to cover, this one is made for you.

  • What it is: A hardcover Design Works book paired with a collectible box.

  • Where: Register for alerts at Lost In Cult to be among the first to know.

  • When: Further details, including pre-orders, arrive at the end of November. The planned release is in 2027.

COMMUNITY GIVEAWAYS

A celebration wouldn’t feel complete without a few giveaways, would it? From today (the anniversary of the first episode) through November 22, we’re hosting giveaways on Discord and teaming up with the superhero admins and moderators of r/DispatchAdHoc to put free goodies into players’ hands.

ENTER ON DISCORD

During a rare in-person gathering earlier this spring, the whole AdHoc team got together to unwind after launch. Between team dinners and karaoke nights, every member of the studio signed a batch of posters to give to our community.

Now we’re running a sweepstakes for 10 of them on the AdHoc Discord. Visit the #dispatch-giveaway channel to enter.

Read the full terms and conditions here.

MEANWHILE: ON R/DISPATCHADHOC

Last but certainly not least, we’re supplying merch boxes and digital codes for a community-run giveaway over on \[r/DispatchAdHoc]https://(https://www.reddit.com/r/DispatchAdHoc/). If you haven’t already, pop over there for the full details on how it works.

You might also spot the AdHoc team there in a few weeks for a good old-fashioned AMA, so stay tuned for details.

A NOTE FROM THE TEAM

A year ago, we had no idea whether anyone would turn up for Dispatch. More than five million of you have so far, so we must have done something right. You’ve stayed to debate choices, cosplayed as every member of the Z-Team, and sent more kind words to our inboxes than we know what to do with. Everything above is our way of saying “thank you.”

Here’s to whatever comes next, Dispatchers.
