HAAi Nearly Missed Making Time 2025, Then Played 100 Minutes of Bangers — Listen to the Full Set

HAAi’s Making Time Set: A Last-Minute Triumph

Australian DJ and producer HAAi spent August and September touring the U.S. and Mexico, appearing at festivals including Arc in Chicago and Portola in San Francisco. She capped the run with a headline performance at Philadelphia’s indie festival Making Time on September 21 — a set she nearly missed after a delayed flight.

Organizers and the artist refused to let logistics ruin the night: Making Time founder Dave P extended the festival’s schedule to accommodate HAAi’s arrival, ensuring she could perform for the assembled crowd.

After racing from the airport to Fort Mifflin, Teneil Throssell delivered a commanding hour-and-forty-minute set built from shimmering, tactile productions. The mix wove together selections by Yesca, Redeyes, an edit of Ciara’s “Goodies” (hear it around the 28-minute mark), Audiojack, The Poison Control Center, Tom VR and Skeptic — and closed with a luminous edit of Aphrodite’s Child’s 1972 piece “The Four Horsemen,” alongside HAAi’s own material. The full set is embedded below for listening.

At the time of the performance HAAi was preparing to release her second studio album, Humanise, which arrived on October 10, 2025 via Mute. The 17-track record features collaborations with artists such as Jon Hopkins and the Trans Voices Choir. In early October 2025, Romy — a longtime friend and past collaborator — unveiled a rework of the album track “Stitches”; HAAi and Romy previously teamed up in 2022 on the Fred again..-assisted single “Lights Out.”
