Nearly two decades after his debut as a member of SHINee, K-pop luminary Taemin is reaching a new pinnacle in a career defined by artistic evolution and boundary-pushing performances.
Billboard can exclusively confirm that the Grammy Museum is set to launch “TAEMIN: Performer. Artist. Icon.” on April 1, 2026. This dedicated exhibition celebrates the singer-songwriter and dancer’s profound legacy and global impact, making him the first K-pop soloist to be honored with a solo showcase by the prestigious Los Angeles institution.
The exhibit, which runs through May 25, 2026, provides fans and visitors with an intimate look at the craftsmanship behind Taemin’s magnetic stage presence. On display are two of his most recognizable performance ensembles: the striking red-and-black attire from his Ephemeral Gaze World Tour, and the ethereal all-white suit he wore during his Veil concert series and his 2025 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Other featured artifacts include his customized in-ear monitors, his signature white stage microphone, an official fan lightstick, and a deeply personal handwritten letter addressed to his global fanbase.

“To me, every performance is a narrative I share with my fans,” Taemin said in an official statement. “These garments and objects are vessels for the memories we’ve created together on stage. I hope visitors can feel the dedication and love for music that has driven my journey. It is a sincere honor to have my work recognized by the Grammy Museum.”
Taemin’s storied career began in 2008 when, at the age of 14, he debuted as the youngest member of SM Entertainment’s vocal powerhouse, SHINee. He quickly established himself as a performer of rare technical precision. SHINee was a vanguard for the Hallyu wave on the Billboard charts; their hit “Lucifer” reached No. 3 on the World Digital Song Sales chart, setting a new benchmark for Korean acts at the time. To date, the group has secured 36 entries on that chart—including 23 Top 10s—and has topped the World Albums chart twice.
Taemin successfully transitioned into a powerhouse soloist in 2014 with the release of Ace, the first of his seven solo entries on the World Albums chart. His solo discography includes 15 hits on the World Digital Song Sales chart, with 2025’s “Veil” matching the No. 3 peak of his 2016 classic “Press Your Number.” Additionally, as a member of the K-pop supergroup SuperM, he reached the summit of the Billboard 200 with their eponymous debut EP.
“Taemin is a truly transformative artist whose influence reaches far beyond the stage,” noted Grammy Museum curator Kelsey Goelz. “His innovative style, artistic vision, and unparalleled performances have been instrumental in the global rise of K-pop. We are proud to showcase these artifacts that celebrate his artistry and cultural significance.”
Following the massive success of last year’s Ephemeral Gaze World Tour—which saw sold-out dates across the U.S., Europe, and Latin America—Taemin began 2026 with a headlining residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas. He recently signed with Galaxy Corporation, the agency that also represents fellow icon G-Dragon, ahead of his highly anticipated debut at Coachella 2026.
Tickets for “TAEMIN: Performer. Artist. Icon.” are currently available through the Grammy Museum website.
