Ghost of Tsushima Legends Anime Delayed to 2028
Crunchyroll has delayed the premiere of the anime Ghost of Tsushima: Legends from 2027 to 2028.
Crunchyroll did not explain the reason for the delay, but the company did reveal the voice actors and production team for the series.
The main characters will be voiced by Mayumi Sako, who previously voiced the archer Tomoe in Ghost of Tsushima, and Shinichi Fumimatsu, known for his role as Bomb in One-Punch Man.
Takanobu Mizuno, who directed the short film “The Duel” for the anthology Star Wars: Visions, will serve as director. Gen Urobuchi, known for Psycho-Pass, is working on the script, and animation is being handled by studio Kamikaze Douga, which worked on Batman Ninja. Keiji Inai will compose the music, and Yoshikazu Iwanami will serve as sound director.
The adaptation is based on the cooperative mode Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, which is inspired by Japanese folklore and mythology. In the mode, players choose one of four warrior classes and fight demons and other supernatural opponents.
An exact premiere date is currently unknown.
