Fuma Kikuchi’s inaugural photo collection, Latido, has officially ascended to the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Japan Book Hot 100 for the chart dated February 12.
The Japan Book Hot 100 employs a multifaceted methodology, aggregating data from physical retail sales, digital e-books, library circulations, subscription services, and social media engagement. For this tracking period, the timelesz member’s debut project secured the pinnacle position after a dominant performance in e-commerce sales. Filmed throughout Spain’s picturesque Basque region, the book offers an intimate look at Kikuchi as he navigates the transition into his thirties with a series of candid, naturalistic portraits.
Securing the No. 2 position is the 23rd volume of Chainsaw Man. The franchise continues to enjoy significant momentum, partially fueled by the ongoing theatrical success of its latest anime adaptation. This latest volume topped both the physical and digital sales categories. Rounding out the top three is BORUTO-TWO BLUE VORTEX Vol. 7, which performed strongly across physical and digital storefronts.
Outside of the immediate top ten, Ryunosuke Matsushita’s sci-fi mystery Ichijigen no Sashiki (Labyrinth of Hortensia and the Minotaur) made a notable leap, climbing from outside the top 20 to No. 15. The narrative follows a genetics graduate student searching for his missing sister while unraveling a complex DNA-based mystery. The title recently garnered critical acclaim by winning the grand prize in the paperback category at the 23rd “Kono Mystery ga Sugoi!” (This Mystery is Amazing!) Awards.
