June has arrived with a stellar lineup of fresh tracks and projects, featuring heavy hitters like Taylor Swift, Role Model, and many more. As the season heats up, we want to hear which of these latest releases deserves the top spot on your summer playlist.
The most anticipated arrival this Friday, June 5, is undoubtedly “I Knew It, I Knew You.” Penned by the Eras Tour icon specifically for the upcoming Toy Story 5, this country-infused anthem sees Swift returning to her roots to honor the spirit of Jessie, the legendary cowgirl voiced by Joan Cusack.
“Crafting this piece felt like both a bold new direction and a nostalgic return home,” Swift shared via Instagram. “Writing for Jessie presented a unique creative challenge that felt entirely instinctive. Having been a Toy Story fan since I was five, being part of this journey—to infinity and beyond—is a dream come true.”
Also stepping into the spotlight this week is Role Model, who kicks off his new musical chapter with “High Hopes 3000.” Following the massive success of his previous album, Kansas Anymore, he returns with a lead single that explores the complexities of love, setting the stage for his forthcoming LP, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass.
Meanwhile, Lizzo is back with her latest project, Bitch, her first studio effort since 2022’s Special. Discussing the title, she noted, “Reclaiming this term is an act of empowerment. It’s about taking a word often used to diminish women and transforming it into a bold statement of confidence and radical self-love.”
This week’s release cycle is further bolstered by Niall Horan’s new album, Dinner Party, alongside fresh singles from Tinashe (“Too Easy”) and Ryan Beatty (“Secret Language”). Streaming platforms are also packed with new arrivals, including records from Vybz Kartel (God & Time), Vince Staples (Cry Baby), HorsegiirL (Nature Is Healing), and Prospa (Free Your Mind).
