Fans Vote KATSEYE’s ‘Pinky Up’ as Favorite New Music of the Week

The global sensation KATSEYE has officially claimed the top spot in this week’s fan-voted music poll, with their infectious new single, “Pinky Up,” capturing the hearts of listeners everywhere.

Following a poll launched on Billboard this past Friday, fans overwhelmingly selected the group’s latest track as their favorite new release. Notably, this marks the quintet’s first musical offering released while member Manon takes a temporary hiatus.

Competition was stiff, with new drops from industry heavyweights like Lady Gaga and Doechii, as well as rising acts like Tiny Habits and The Strokes. Despite the star-studded lineup, KATSEYE secured a commanding 50% of the total vote by the time the poll closed on Sunday.

Crafted by hitmaker Justin Tranter and produced by the powerhouse team of dwilly, “hitman” bang, and FRANTS, “Pinky Up” is a high-octane hyper-pop anthem. The release is bolstered by a vibrant, choreography-heavy music video directed by the visionary Bardia Zeinali.

The group wasted no time bringing the track to life, performing it live for the first time during their appearance at Coachella this past Friday night.

“We are completely obsessed with this song,” member Daniela shared with Billboard during the festival in Indio, California, on Saturday. “Debuting it on the Coachella stage was incredible—it felt electric. I’ve been rewatching the footage and thinking, ‘Wow, we really nailed that.’ That dance break, in particular, was a total game-changer; the crowd’s energy was insane.”

Megan echoed those sentiments, noting the empowering nature of the track: “It’s definitely one of our top favorites. It’s hard-hitting and makes us feel incredibly confident when we perform it. It’s earned a permanent spot in our rotation.”

Rounding out the top contenders in the poll were the collaboration between Lady Gaga and Doechii, “Runway,” which garnered 12% of the vote, and Tiny Habits’ soulful “Right in Front of Me,” which secured 10%.
