Exclusive Riftbound Unleashed Card Reveal: Rengar’s Outnumbered Legend

Exclusive Riftbound Unleashed Card Reveal - Rengar

The latest expansion for Riot Games’ League of Legends trading card game, Riftbound Unleashed, is emerging from the thickets of the jungle. For players fortunate enough to find one in their packs, a certain apex predator is ready to pounce from the brush with unparalleled flair.

We are excited to premiere an exclusive look at a flagship card for the Unleashed set: the relentless hunter, Rengar. While his standard Legend card has been previously detailed, our focus today is on the breathtaking “overnumbered” variant. Behold the exquisite special edition of Rengar, Pridestalker.

“Overnumbered” is the designation Riot uses to denote cards of exceptional rarity that exist outside the standard set numbering. You can identify these by the “227/219” collector number in the bottom-left corner and the distinctive gold hexagon emblem. These prestigious versions feature alternate illustrations and occasionally bear the artist’s signature.

In this iteration, artist Duy Nguyen delivers a stunning, painterly aesthetic to the Pridestalker. The craftsmanship is meticulous; the vibrant hue of Rengar’s eyes creates a striking focal point against the verdant foliage, perfectly capturing the primal atmosphere of the Unleashed theme. The fine textures on Rengar’s face further emphasize his savage combat prowess.

Mechanically, the Fury/Body (Red/Orange) affinity positions Rengar as a formidable aggressive Legend. His ability is designed to accelerate board presence, allowing players to deploy units early and seize the initiative. In a competitive or pre-release setting, Rengar thrives alongside low-cost, efficient creatures that can secure early-game value on key battlefields. Notably, his ability grants +1 Might to “a unit”—not just the one entering play—enabling sophisticated combat tactics and surprising power shifts mid-skirmish.

The preview window for Riftbound Unleashed remains active through March 26. The global rollout will be staggered by region: Chinese language Pre-Rift events begin April 3, with a full launch on April 10. English language players can participate in Pre-Rift festivities starting May 1, followed by the official release on May 8.
