Everything Announced at the 2026 Capcom Spotlight

Capcom recently hosted its annual summer Spotlight broadcast. While the event was relatively modest in terms of major announcements, fans were treated to fresh insights into Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, the debut of new story DLC for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, and various optimizations for Onimusha: Way of the Sword and Resident Evil Requiem. Below is a breakdown of the key highlights from the presentation.

Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection

  • New DLC: The “Additional Side Story: Rudy” expansion is live now for $9.99 (or free for Deluxe/Premium owners). This chapter uncovers the backstory of Rudy, the Royal Felyne, and his ancestors.
  • New Challenge: Players can now square off against the formidable elder dragon, Nergigante.
  • End-Game Twist: If you download the update with a cleared save file, you can attempt an enhanced version of the final encounter. Victory in this challenging mode transforms all wild monsters into powerful “Royal Monsters” across the map.

Resident Evil Requiem

  • Collectibles: The highly anticipated Grace Ashcroft and Leon S. Kennedy Amiibo figures are officially scheduled to launch on June 30.

Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen

  • New Horizons: The expansion shifts the journey to the frozen northern region of Norgan, focusing on the legend of the fallen dragon and a mysterious tracker named Eir.
  • Exploration & Customization: The update adds 12 unique dungeons and significantly bolsters the character creation suite.
  • Relic Crafting: Throughout Norgan, players can discover Relics. These can be appraised and reforged into high-tier gear, offering superior stats and unique combat abilities.
  • Upcoming QoL Update: A patch arriving in August will precede the expansion, bringing highly requested features like extra save slots, performance optimizations, a rebalanced “Dragonsplague” mechanic with more intuitive cure methods, and an increase to six active weapon skill slots.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword

  • Combat Teaser: Fresh gameplay footage was showcased, highlighting a cinematic showdown against a new Genma boss, Dohatsu-ten.
