Euro Truck Simulator 2 1.44: Adjustable Suspension Height

Comment Views: 100

SCS Software’s April 7, 2022 preview of Euro Truck Simulator 2 update 1.44 introduced adjustable suspension height. The planned control would let drivers raise or lower the truck’s ride height when attaching a trailer. American Truck Simulator was due to receive the same feature in version 1.44.

The system was based on real-life truck suspension. As SCS worked with more detailed vehicle references, sometimes supplied as CAD files, it needed to ensure that different truck, chassis and trailer combinations fit together. Height adjustment was intended to address visual glitches and difficulties during coupling.

Drivers would be able to choose whether to use the new control. The suspension hotkey would have no default assignment and would need to be configured in the bindings settings.

SCS invited feedback through its forum and its Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts.
