Escape from Tarkov now allows all players to escape Terminal, but not always
Extraction constraints in Escape from Tarkov have undergone a significant overhaul.
Following the official release of Escape from Tarkov, many players were blindsided by the revelation that successfully evacuating the final “Terminal” location was a luxury not everyone could afford—and the brutal difficulty was only part of the problem.
Teams deploying as a full five-man squad previously faced a grim ultimatum: with only three seats available on the extraction boat, two comrades had to be left behind. However, recent mechanical updates have finally addressed this controversial limitation.
Experts from the “Tarkov Metamovement” community have shed light on the recent adjustments:
Up to three individuals can now extract from Tarkov regardless of their squad size. Furthermore, if you enter the raid as a full five-man team, the boat’s capacity has been made dynamic, randomly accommodating between three and five players.
Community representatives pointed out that this information originates from “initial playtesters” following the most recent patches, so players should remain aware that certain details might still be subject to minor adjustments.
