Elle King and her papa, comedian/actor Rob Schneider, do not specifically agree. On the most up to date episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast published Monday (Aug 12), the “Ex’s and Oh’s” artist really did not keep back when reviewing her tough childhood years, calling her dad “toxic” and stressing that she does not straighten with most of his debatable sights.
When the subject of Schneider turned up, the podcast host admitted that the Hot Chick celebrity utilized to be among her childhood years squashes– yet by the end of the conversation, Bunnie stated that the dream was formally dead. That’s since King stated that her papa was seldom associated with her life, affirming that he neglected her birthday celebrations and sent her to “fat camp” throughout childhood years.
“I go four or five years without talking to my dad,” the singer-songwriter stated. “My dad called me and was like, ‘Don’t f–king talk about me in the press.’ I was like, ‘Get f–ked.’”

“If I would ever spend a summer with my dad, it would be on a movie set … I’d just get lost in the shuffle,” she proceeded. “I was a really, really heavy child, and my dad sent me to fat camp. Then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and didn’t lose any weight — very toxic and silly. My dad forgot every single birthday,” King included. “I spent my 18th birthday in a summer school and they brought me cupcakes. I came home, and my dad forgot my birthday.”
When spoken to for this tale, Schneider’s associates decreased to comment.
Schneider invited the four-time Grammy candidate with previous version London King in 1989. Elle’s moms and dads broke up a year later on, and she was increased by her mommy. Elle embraced her mom’s initial name for her phase tag to distance herself from her dad, whose aid she informed Bunnie she “never wanted” when getting into the songs sector. “He also didn’t have a very good reputation,” she kept in mind. “I don’t want to be associated with him. He’s just not nice.”
