Dropout’s visionary CEO and charismatic ringmaster, Sam Reich, recently announced a significant milestone for the platform’s flagship comedy series: Game Changer is officially making the leap to physical media. Seasons 1 and 2 are now available for pre-order on Blu-ray, marking a rare move for a modern digital-first studio.

The series represents the cornerstone of Dropout’s evolution. Premiering in 2019—just before the company transitioned away from the CollegeHumor brand—Game Changer thrives on a premise of total unpredictability. Contestants walk onto the stage with no knowledge of the rules, forced to decipher the game’s mechanics in real-time. This two-season collection captures the show’s formative years, including the debut of “Make Some Noise” (which eventually became its own standalone hit) and the legendary “Yes or No” episode, famous for pushing the ever-competitive Brennan Lee Mulligan to the brink of a comedic breakdown.

Reich’s pivot toward physical discs is a calculated response to the volatility of the streaming landscape. While digital platforms offer unparalleled convenience, they also carry the risk of content vanishing into a “digital void” due to licensing shifts or corporate restructuring. By releasing a physical edition, Dropout is offering its audience a sense of permanence that traditional streaming often lacks. Reich pointed out that while digital media is excellent for casual viewing, physical ownership is the only way to ensure these episodes remain accessible indefinitely.

The current Blu-ray release is described as an “experiment” for the company. As such, the debut set is a minimalist affair, focused entirely on the episodes themselves without additional commentaries or bonus features. However, Reich has indicated that the future of physical Dropout media depends on the success of this launch. Should the collection find its audience, subsequent releases could include the deep-dive featurettes and behind-the-scenes content that fans of shows like Very Important People and later Game Changer cycles have come to adore.

The Game Changer Season 1 & 2 Blu-ray set is currently retailing for $28. To complement the launch, the Dropout store has also unveiled a fresh line of merchandise, including a branded “Loop-De-Loop” blanket, plush slippers, and a commemorative pin inspired by Jacob Wysocki’s unforgettable “Regular Guy” monologue from Make Some Noise.
