Double Dragon Revive has launched on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch. To mark the release, developer Arc System Works unveiled a trailer showcasing the game’s opening cinematic.
The trailer sets a classic beat ’em-up tone: it follows the heroes as they clash with a range of foes and flashes brief sequences of their signature moves before the antagonist makes an appearance.
The game continues the story of the original series. Billy and Jimmy embark on a mission to rescue their childhood friend Marion, who has been kidnapped by the Shadow Warriors gang. The narrative keeps an old‑school flavor, while the gameplay has been refreshed: intricate combos, enemy grabs, and Hyper Blows usable both in midair and on the ground.
Each stage introduces distinct environmental hazards — flamethrowers, rickety bridges spanning chasms without railings, and other interactive elements that allow you to deal heavy damage to enemies.
