Digital Extremes Says “It’s Time”: Warframe Mobile Closed Beta Launches on Android in November

After a long wait, the developers of Warframe are preparing an Android release.

Warframe Mobile is steadily moving toward a full Android launch. Digital Extremes has announced that closed beta testing will begin in November 2025. You can apply now on the studio’s official website — simply provide your device model and sign in with your Warframe account.

The closed beta will not include cross-platform play, voice chat, or any monetization features. Digital Extremes emphasizes the test is solely intended to evaluate performance and stability across a range of devices. Progress from other platforms will not transfer, and all participant data will be removed after the test concludes.

No exact start dates have been revealed yet, but the team says they will share them closer to mid-November.

Warframe Mobile was first introduced in 2021, and the iOS release arrived in February 2024. That summer, project creative director Rebecca Ford stated the Android build already existed and was technically ready, but the launch was postponed because only a small share of devices could run the game consistently. The studio therefore waited to reassess market conditions.

The start of closed testing indicates Digital Extremes now sees a more stable audience on Android and appears committed to bringing the game to a full release. If everything proceeds smoothly, Warframe Mobile could arrive on Android in the first half of 2026.
