Crimson Desert Launches Free Trial on PS5 and Xbox with Progression Transfer
Console players can now try Crimson Desert for up to five hours for free, as Pearl Abyss has opened trial access on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
To celebrate the release of the first story expansion, Charting the Unknown, the developers prepared a gift for console owners. PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers can play until October 29, 2027, and Xbox users until January 7. In both cases, access is limited to five hours.
The trial version includes only the base game, and all accumulated progress can be carried over to the full version.
This provides an opportunity to try the action role-playing game, which holds an average user score of 8.7 on Metacritic, has sold over 6 million copies, and is nominated for awards at the Golden Joystick Awards 2026.
