Demi Lovato Scales Back ‘It’s Not That Deep’ Tour to Focus on Well-Being
Demi Lovato has announced a strategic revision of her upcoming It’s Not That Deep Tour, opting to cancel five performances and reschedule another in a conscious effort to “protect my health,” as shared in an emotional update to fans on Tuesday, February 10.
Communicating through a series of candid Instagram Stories, the vocalist expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the stage while acknowledging the demands of the original itinerary. “While starting to prepare for the tour, I realized that I have overextended what may be possible,” the Camp Rock alumna explained. She noted that building in additional time for rest and rehearsals is essential to ensuring she can deliver high-energy performances throughout the duration of the trek.
The adjustments result in the cancellation of tour stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Denver, and Charlotte, N.C. Addressing the fans in those regions, Lovato shared her regret: “I am so sad to say that I will no longer be able to see you on this tour and I am so sorry to those who planned to be there.”
In addition to the cancellations, Lovato is pivoting her Orlando, Fla., performance to April 13. This date will now serve as the tour’s official opening night, filling the slot previously held by the Charlotte show. According to the announcement, ticket holders for the canceled dates will receive automatic refunds through Ticketmaster or AXS. Those who secured tickets via third-party platforms are advised to contact their original point of purchase.
“I am so excited for this tour and am looking forward to seeing so many of your faces singing with me!” Lovato concluded, thanking her “Lovatics” for their unwavering support.
The 18-date tour follows the success of her 2025 studio album, It’s Not That Deep, which secured a top-10 debut on the Billboard 200 and dominated the Top Dance Albums chart. While Lovato did not specify a particular medical issue, she has been a vocal advocate for mental health awareness, frequently sharing her personal journey with sobriety and eating disorder recovery.
In mid-2024, Lovato spoke openly about her history with inpatient treatment, emphasizing the importance of setting boundaries and working closely with a support team to maintain long-term stability. By adjusting her tour schedule now, the singer appears to be applying those lessons to the rigors of life on the road.
