Demeter the Goddess of Seasons is the newest Olympian to reach in Hades

Hades this week launched The Long Winter Update, bringing extra blessings and boons to assist poor Zagreus escape the underworld. This time across the game is introducing us to Demeter, the goddess of seasons, who’ll offer us her powers over the chilly to struggle again in opposition to the fires of hell.

That’s not all although, there’s a brand new weapon modification, new upgrades and story occasions, and there’s even fishing now too!

If you haven’t performed it, Hades is a superb Greek mythology primarily based rogue-like the place you play because the son of the titular god, Zagreus, as you try to flee your actually hell-ish residence. It’s at the moment in early entry, and about as soon as a month we’re handled to a beautiful huge replace to make escaping the underworld that rather more attention-grabbing.

This month’s replace consists of giving Zagreus the flexibility to fish by acquiring the Rod of Fishing. It’s a part of a bunch of issues which have been added to the House Contractor (, so you may make hell look fairly as you slaughter your enemies on the best way out). This is the very last thing I ever anticipated Hades to get, and I completely can’t wait to attempt it out.

There’s additionally a brand new Aspect for Varatha the Eternal Spear, the Aspect of Guan Yu, in addition to new story occasions round it. On high of that, there’s a brand new souvenir out there from Dusa, new Daedalus Hammer upgrades, and a heck-ton extra you possibly can examine in the patch notes.

With the introduction of the goddess of seasons, I’m wondering if we’ll see Demeter change because the yr progresses. I’m unsure how that may work with all her winter-themed boons, however it might be tremendous cool if she received some new appears to be like for spring and summer time.

This game is one in all my absolute favourites, and it appears I’m not alone – Steve Hogarty stated his Premature Evaluation of Hades: “It’s a shining example of early access done right, a fluid and evolving adventure that, rather than treat its most loyal fans as unpaid playtesters, rewards and surprises returning players with great big hot guffs of lovely new stuff on a near monthly basis. Now’s the time to dive into it.”

The Long Winter Update is offered to obtain proper now as a part of the early entry model of Hades, which is offered on each Steam and the Epic Games Store.
