Crunchyroll’s Top New-Gen Shonen Anime Reveals Season 2 First-Look Trailer

Gachiakuta established itself as a standout action series last year, and enthusiastic fans won’t have to wait indefinitely for its continuation. The official YouTube channel for the adaptation recently premiered a promotional trailer confirming that a second season is officially underway.

The concise teaser features Enjin taking a casual drag, the Raiders causing characteristic chaos, a tearful Amo, and Rudo hitching a ride on top of a moving vehicle. Footage highlights the upcoming Information Broker narrative arc, which chronicles the Cleaners and Raiders as they compete to acquire sensitive intelligence regarding a powerful artifact. The initial season adapted material up to chapter 87, while the source material currently extends well beyond 170 chapters. Given the narrative progression, fully bridging this gap will likely require at least another robust, 24-episode run. An official release date has not yet been established, but considering the typical production cycles of Bones’ other high-profile ventures like My Hero Academia, a 2027 premiere remains a distinct possibility.

Gachiakuta originally broadcasted from July 6, 2025, through December 22, 2025. The series adapts Kei Urana’s acclaimed manga, serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine since February 16, 2022. Set in a dystopian society where neglected household objects manifest supernatural abilities, the narrative centers on Rudo, a young outcast wrongfully accused of a heinous crime. Left to perish in a massive chasm known simply as “the Pit,” he encounters the Cleaners—an organization dedicated to exterminating vicious Trash Beasts utilizing specialized Jinki weaponry. Following the awakening of his own latent powers, Rudo aligns himself with the group to uncover the truth behind his exile and orchestrate his retribution against those who betrayed him.

Production duties for the anime are spearheaded by Bones Film, a renowned studio celebrated for powerhouse adaptations like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Mob Psycho 100, My Hero Academia, Soul Eater, and countless others. The inaugural season of Gachiakuta won over audiences through its intricate world-building, deeply realized characters, and a distinct, graffiti-inspired aesthetic brimming with visual flair. Following the season two announcement last December, developers also revealed plans for a companion video game and a theatrical stage play within the same month.
