Creators of Lies of P Prepare New ‘Soulslike’ RPG
Following the success of Lies of P, South Korea’s Round8 Studio maintained its momentum. The team moved forward with multiple projects, including the Overture expansion (released in June) and a sequel announced roughly six weeks after the original’s launch.
Publisher Neowiz has outlined its roadmap: in addition to the Lies of P sequel, it lists a separate, original soulslike RPG for PC and consoles headed by Kei Lee. The fact that the project appears independently in the publisher’s report indicates it is a standalone title rather than a direct continuation of Lies of P.
Kei Lee previously held roles at Smilegate (2016–2024), Krafton (2012–2016), and Nexon (2005–2011). He joined Round8 Studio in April 2024, so the new game remains in early development. Details about its gameplay systems and narrative have not been revealed yet; we’ll need to wait for official announcements.
