Upcoming Maps

The Mysterious Island

Crafted exclusively for Olden Era by the legendary original mapmaker Papyjama, The Mysterious Island marks his triumphant debut in our next major update. Boasting rich narrative events and a sprawling landscape that remains formidable long after your initial expansion, this giant-scale map is a dream come true for completionists and explorers who relish immersive, long-term campaigns.

Prisoners

Next up is a gripping, fast-paced scenario titled Prisoners. This narrative-driven adventure chronicles the mysterious disappearance of commanders deep within the shadowed woods. Perfect for players seeking a swift, engaging session, this map offers unconventional methods for recruiting powerful new heroes. Launching shortly after The Mysterious Island, it provides a wonderfully refreshing change of pace following a massive campaign.

Broken Alliance

Last but certainly not least, we are bringing back an absolute classic that veteran tacticians will instantly recognize. Making its legendary return for the third time in the franchise’s history, Broken Alliance—which first captivated audiences in Heroes II and later won over fans in Heroes VI—is back! This beloved medium-sized battleground centers around a singular, uncompromising objective: crush the treacherous allies who stabbed you in the back. Free from scripted distractions, it delivers unadulterated tactical warfare.

Completely remastered with stunning visual enhancements, Broken Alliance is currently in the final stages of production and will release alongside Prisoners. Moving forward, we intend to resurrect even more fan-favorite skirmish maps based on your direct suggestions!

UI & AI Enhancements, Alliances, and Random Map Generator

Our development momentum continues with ongoing refinements to Teams, Alliances, and the Advanced Random Map Generator, paired with continuous UI upgrades (such as the recent Necromancy interface introduced in Patch #11). Today, we are thrilled to give you a sneak peek at the redesigned Random Map setup screen alongside a work-in-progress look at the new allied resource exchange interface.

These features are slated to deploy later in Q3 of this year. As always, if you encounter any unexpected behavior with computer opponents, please continue submitting your reports via our official Discord server, the Steam community boards, or directly in-game using the F1 key. Using the in-game reporting tool automatically attaches your current save file, which vastly accelerates our troubleshooting process!
