We are painstakingly preserving the elements that turned Gothic into a cult classic twenty-five years ago: the gritty atmosphere of the camps, the breathing, reactive open world, the unfiltered dialogue, and the feeling of being a nameless underdog struggling to survive in an unforgiving wilderness. The team at Alkimia Interactive has obsessed over every detail to ensure the Valley of Mines feels authentic—from Snaf’s infamous meatbug ragout and the screech of a scavenger to the persistent nuisance of Mud. Everything is exactly where it belongs.
This project serves as a heartfelt love letter to the Gothic universe and its dedicated community. Throughout development, our guiding principle has been to treat every corner of the world with the reverence it deserves, ensuring the final experience feels unmistakably “Gothic” in every regard.
With that in mind, the Gothic 1 Remake will not arrive early, nor will it be late; it will launch precisely when it is ready:
