Smile! An Update is Here: Gothic 1 Remake Adds Photo Mode and More
The inaugural Feature Update for the Gothic 1 Remake introduces a robust Photo Mode, empowering players to immortalize their most unforgettable moments across the Colony. Packed with versatile tools and adjustable settings, this feature lets you compose and capture cinematic shots precisely as you envision them.
Alongside this comes the legendary Marvin Mode. Seasoned veterans of the franchise will instantly recognize the name, but for newcomers, it is the official developer console and cheat mode. Whether you need to bypass a stubborn lock, teleport across the map, or spawn specific items, characters, and foes, Marvin Mode grants you absolute freedom to bend the game to your will.
To enable it, simply press Esc, type marvin, and press Esc again, then follow the on-screen prompts. To exit the mode, press Esc and type 42.
It is also time for a aesthetic overhaul: the Nameless Hero can now sport brand-new hairstyles and body tattoos, ensuring he looks more rugged than ever. To unlock these personalization options, complete a brief series of tasks assigned by Joru and Baal Namib.
