Chinese Version of Where Winds Meet Adds Construction Mechanics Like Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Players on the global version are urging the feature be added to international servers — but it seems they’ll have to wait quite a while.
The Chinese version of Where Winds Meet has received a major new feature — a machine-building system inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The update released on November 26 introduced a full construction mode that lets players assemble flying contraptions, carts, rafts and other devices from a variety of components. Completed creations can be saved as blueprints, shared with others, and instantly recreated without rebuilding.
In the story, the addition is tied to the Mo faction — artisans of mechanisms, traps and early engineering devices. According to the developers’ Chinese blog, followers of Mo “studied practical methods that help people” and gained renown for their skill in crafting clever contraptions. To join the faction, players will need to examine blueprints and put devices through testing.
For now, the construction system is limited to the Chinese servers. Everstone Studio has not announced when the same mechanic will be added to the global release. Given the current content gap — roughly eleven months — it’s unlikely the feature will arrive before the end of 2026: global servers are expected to receive updates gradually, following the rollout schedule.
