Charli XCX Releases ‘I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night’ as ‘Rock Music’ Vinyl B-Side

Charli xcx finds her thoughts consumed by a lingering muse on her latest track, “I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night.” Serving as the B-side to her recently released single “Rock Music,” the song features the pop star candidly—and playfully—questioning her own sexuality.

“I’m probably not,” she sings, musing on the topic before adding a sharp observation: “I’ve always wondered if you were actually gay / Or if that’s something you just say for your career.”

The song, clocking in at a brief 1:32, is built upon minimalist production. It arrives accompanied by a black-and-white music video filmed in Kyoto, Japan, featuring Charli in a raw, intimate sequence as she navigates a dance studio and stairwell. The lyrics draw from an arthouse sensibility, opening with a direct nod to French New Wave cinema: “Maybe we could become each other / Like something out of a Jacques Rivette movie or something.”

While the exact nature of her fixation remains enigmatic—especially given that she is married to The 1975’s George Daniel—the chorus remains hauntingly straightforward: “I keep thinkin’ ’bout you, every single day / I keep thinkin’ ’bout you, every single night.”

Charli introduced the track to her fans on Saturday (May 8) via her dedicated side account, @b.sides, where she frequently shares behind-the-scenes projects that fall outside her primary releases. “I went to Kyoto for six weeks to shoot a film. While we were there, I made this video with Aidan. It’s only available on vinyl and here on b.sides,” she shared with her followers.

Currently, the physical 7″ edition of “Rock Music” has sold out through Charli’s official webstore, though select independent record shops across the U.S., U.K., and France have received limited stock. As the track is not available on streaming platforms, the accompanying video on her Instagram account remains the only official way to experience the song.
