Chappell Roan Joins the Metaverse as Fortnite Festival’s Newest Icon

Fresh off her daring appearance at the Grammys, Chappell Roan is making a high-profile leap into the digital world. The “Midwest Princess” has been officially unveiled as the headline star for Fortnite Festival Season 13, bringing her theatrical aesthetic and chart-topping hits to Epic Games’ rhythm-based platform.
Announced on February 3, the collaboration allows players to step into the shoes of the pop trailblazer starting Thursday, February 5. Roan’s in-game avatar meticulously recreates her signature crimson hair and avant-garde makeup. Fans can choose between two of her most recognizable looks: the armored “Roan of Arc” ensemble from the 2024 MTV VMAs or the vibrant pink leotard and cowboy hat synonymous with her breakout hit, “Pink Pony Club.”
This season of Fortnite Festival offers a complete immersive experience. The virtual main stage has been redesigned to mirror the medieval castle set from her 2025 “Visions of Damsels & Other Dangerous Things Tour.” The update also includes custom Roan-themed instruments and exclusive accessories. To capture her performance energy, the game features two new emotes—a “Pink Pony Club” dance choreographed by the legendary Ryan Heffington and a traversal “Femininomenon” move. Iconic tracks like “Good Luck, Babe!,” “Hot to Go!,” and “The Giver” will return to the rotation as playable jam tracks.

This partnership is a full-circle moment for the Missouri-born artist. In an interview with BBC Radio 1 earlier this year, Roan confessed to being a dedicated Fortnite player on the Nintendo Switch. At the time, she admitted to using Ariana Grande’s skin while jokingly manifesting her own in-game dance. “Please give me a dance,” she pleaded during the broadcast. “Please.”
The gaming news follows a weekend of heavy discourse surrounding Roan’s fashion choices at the 2026 Grammys. The 2025 Best New Artist winner commanded the red carpet in a provocative Mugler gown featuring metallic nipple-ring details. Addressing the online chatter via Instagram, Roan remained unfazed: “Giggling because I don’t even think this is THAT outrageous… I recommend just exercising your free will; it’s really fun and silly.”

Players can dive into the world of Chappell Roan when the new season of Fortnite Festival officially launches later this week.
