The “Dedicated” pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen has officially entered motherhood. The singer announced on Tuesday, March 17, that she and her husband, acclaimed producer Cole Marsden Greif-Neill (better known as Cole M.G.N.), have welcomed their first child.
Sharing the milestone via her Instagram Story, Jepsen posted an intimate photo of herself cradling the newborn. Reflecting on the earliest days of her daughter’s life, the hitmaker noted, “The last two weeks have been the best of my life.” She followed up the sentiment with a heartfelt greeting to her daughter: “Welcome to the world, little one.”
The couple’s new arrival comes just months after they exchanged vows in October at New York City’s legendary Chelsea Hotel. The wedding took place roughly a year after their engagement. Speaking with Vogue about the choice of venue, Jepsen explained that the iconic hotel had become a “home away from home” for the pair during their frequent stays in the city.
It wasn’t long after the wedding that Jepsen revealed her pregnancy, posting a series of photos showcasing her baby bump with the playful caption, “Oh hi baby.”
Despite her transition into family life, Jepsen has remained musically prolific. Following the 2022 release of The Loneliest Time, which peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200, she delivered its companion piece, The Loveliest Time, in 2023. Most recently, the singer celebrated the 10th anniversary of her critically adored album E•MO•TION by releasing a special expanded edition. The reissue treated fans to previously unreleased tracks, including “More,” “Guardian Angel,” “Back Of My Heart,” and “Lost In Devotion.”
