Captain Tsubasa 2 Released and Receives Higher Ratings Than Predecessor

Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters has launched several years after the first installment, raising its average Metacritic score from 72% to 76%.

Soccer games have existed almost since the industry began, and Bandai Namco managed to offer an unusual approach with Captain Tsubasa. The game combined soccer with RPG elements, making it similar to Inazuma Eleven while featuring its own mechanics.

Now, following several years of waiting, a full-fledged sequel to the 2020 project has arrived. Early reviews are positive, with Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters earning 76% on Metacritic compared to 72% for the original.
