For Britney Spears, what goes around comes all the way back around.

The pop princess took to Instagram on Thursday (Feb. 1) to seemingly respond to her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, who reportedly took a shot at her during his “One Night Only” birthday concert at Irving Plaza in New York City on Wednesday night.

“Someone told me someone was talking s— about me on the streets,” Spears wrote alongside a photo of a basketball hoop, with a full moon replacing the basketball. “Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time ??? I’m not sorry !!!”

Spears’ comments seem to be in response to a remark JT made before performing “Cry Me a River,” a song widely believed to be about his split from the “Piece of Me” singer. “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to absolutely f—ing nobody,” he told the audience before performing the hit, according to Page Six.

Timberlake’s biting remark comes just days after Spears seemed to apologize for calling him out in her memoir, The Woman in Me, and praised his new single, “Selfish.”  “I wanna apologize for some of the things I wrote about in my book. If I offended any of the people I genuinely care about I am deeply sorry,” Spears wrote in a since deleted post without naming names, before adding, “I am so in love with Justin Timberlake’s new song ‘Selfish.’ It is soo good and how come every time I see Justin and Jimmy together I laugh so hard ???”

While Spears did not elaborate on who she was apologizing to about the many headline-grabbing revelations in her best-selling memoir, one of the people who faced particularly harsh criticism after the book’s release last year was Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002.
