Bloober Team previously released a remake of Silent Hill 2 and earned widespread praise for modernizing the classic. Since then the studio launched Cronos New Dawn and confirmed it is officially developing a remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill.
The studio has also hinted at six additional projects, two of which are reportedly tied to the Silent Hill franchise.
According to the Polish outlet Stockwatch, Bloober Team recently spoke with investors. When asked about current projects the studio replied: “We have two teams working on owned projects: one is focused on Silent Hill 1, the other has begun a new project.” They added that “currently five projects are being executed within the second group.”
Concerning its partnership with Konami, Bloober Team clarified: “The board of directors has officially announced a new agreement with Konami for one project.” This suggests the only formal contract in place is for the Silent Hill 1 remake.
Nevertheless, the French site Biohazardultimate claims the Silent Hill 3 remake will arrive in 2028, following a Silent Hill 1 Remake release in 2027. Other mysterious projects reportedly include an entirely new game set in the Silent Hill universe and an original IP inspired by Resident Evil, tentatively aimed for a 2026 launch. Additionally, two unspecified projects are mentioned along with a “parallel story” to Cronos that currently has no release date.
While these reports are based on rumors, a Silent Hill 3 remake appears plausible, and the prospect of an original Resident Evil–style title and new Silent Hill entries is generating interest.
