Music fans are in for a treat as JENNIE and Tame Impala prepare to release an unexpected collaboration: a fresh remix of the psych-rock project’s hit “Dracula,” featuring the unmistakable vocals of the BLACKPINK sensation.

Kevin Parker, the mastermind behind Tame Impala, broke the news on Tuesday (Feb. 3) via a teaser video on Instagram. In the clip, Parker is seen in his studio studio adjusting a fader labeled “JENNIE,” which unveils a snippet of her contribution to the track. “My friends are saying, ‘Shut up, JENNIE, just get in the car’ / I just wanna be right where you are,” she croons over the synth-heavy production.

Parker, who has been steering the Tame Impala ship since 2008, kept the caption brief but impactful: “Surprise… Friday.”

This upcoming rendition of “Dracula” represents JENNIE’s first foray back into solo music following the massive success of her debut studio album, Ruby, which arrived in March 2025. That record made a significant splash, peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and producing several Hot 100 hits, including the Doechii-assisted “ExtraL” and the fan-favorite “Like JENNIE.”

Beyond her solo endeavors, the South Korean icon has maintained an exhausting schedule. Alongside her BLACKPINK bandmates LISA, ROSÉ, and JISOO, she recently wrapped the expansive Deadline World Tour, which concluded in late January. Fans of the quartet don’t have long to wait for more music, as their upcoming mini-album, Deadline, is scheduled for release on February 27.

Discussing the group’s evolution during a recent guest spot on the Call Her Daddy podcast, ROSÉ noted that the new material reflects their growth. “It’s an album that we’ve all come back to after a year of individual exploration,” she shared. “It was fascinating to see how our unique experiences shaped what we created together.”

Kevin Parker is also riding a wave of commercial momentum. Despite being a titan of the indie scene and a go-to producer for nearly two decades, Tame Impala reached new heights in October when “Dracula” became a definitive Hot 100 hit. The momentum continued with the release of his latest album, Deadbeat, which also spawned the successful tracks “Loser” and “My Old Ways.”
