Billboard China
On April 13, Billboard China officially unveiled its “SPOTLIGHT” series, a groundbreaking initiative blending physical and digital media tailored specifically for the Chinese music landscape. This debut release sets a new standard for localized, high-value music journalism.
The project is anchored by three distinct pillars: a Digital Issue, a collectible Artist Book, and a premium print magazine. Together, these formats offer fans and industry insiders a unique fusion of editorial depth, artistic flair, and tangible collectibility, bridging the gap between global trends and local demand.
The series features a specialized focus for every audience: the Digital Issue acts as a pulse-check for emerging sounds, the Artist Book serves as a visually rich compendium of creative storytelling, and the print Magazine cements its status as a definitive authority on the intersection of high fashion and musical performance.
The inaugural Artist Book highlights the seven members of the SM Entertainment trainee collective SMTR25—SONGHA, HAMIN, DANIEL, HANBI, HYUNJUN, WOOLIN, and TATA. Titled “Spring Promise, Journey to the Future,” the visual spread captures the group in an expansive, gallery-quality format that emphasizes their evolution as artists.
Beyond the polished aesthetic of typical idol marketing, the feature offers an intimate glimpse into the rigorous, often unseen journey of these young performers as they hone their crafts in Seoul. It is a testament to their individual dedication and collective chemistry. Fans can now secure this limited-edition chronicle through digital platforms including QQ Music, Kugou Music, and JOOX, as well as via Billboard China’s official channels.
Looking ahead, Billboard China intends to continue its mission of connecting global talent with the Chinese market, utilizing its platform to champion high-caliber artistry and elevate the conversation around modern pop culture.
