Be Missed and Remembered: The Letter from Mayoiga launches on Steam July 10
OVERLAP GAMES has set a July 10, 2026 Steam release date for Be Missed and Remembered: The Letter from Mayoiga. The PC visual novel is the first title from OVERLAP Co., Ltd.’s OVERLAP GAMES publishing label.
The project is written and directed by Tomo Kataoka, known as the creator of Narcissu. The announcement describes the new game as an original visual novel built around folklore, memory and loss.
The story takes place in the summer of 1972. High school student Naofuyu visits the rural hometown of his grandparents with his younger sister Risa. There he hears a local legend about a mysterious shrine and hidden dwelling that appears from a lake only during the summer months. While searching for the Mayoiga, he meets a solitary girl who has remained trapped inside it for many years.
The Steam release window is also listed as July 9 at 8:00 PM PDT and 10:00 PM CDT. The game will support Japanese, English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese at launch.
Be Missed and Remembered: The Letter from Mayoiga is priced at $17.99. A 10% launch discount is planned from July 10 through July 19, 2026.
