This focused patch irons out various bugs and hiccups introduced since Update 1.4.2.0, refining match pacing, gameplay consistency, Custom Lobby stability, interface responsiveness, and overall technical performance.
Patch 1.4.2.5 Highlights
- Vehicle & Gadget Tweaks: Laser designators now accurately target fighter jets during Carrier Strike matches, and helicopter miniguns can once again hit infantry swimming in water.
- Portal Custom Lobby Enhancements: Enjoy a smoother custom match experience, headlined by a fix that ensures the “Start” button stays fully functional during lobby countdowns.
- General Polish: A wide range of refinements targets Battle Royale Quads, Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep, Support pings, weapon attachments, bot behavior, and overall client stability.

Player
- Support specialists can now successfully ping downed squadmates.
- Players are now able to join an active Party by accepting invites directly from the splash screen.
Vehicles
- Chopper miniguns will now deal damage to enemy soldiers treading water.
- Laser targeting now functions properly against the F/A-81F Super Spectre and F-74A Seacat during Carrier Strike scenarios.
Gadgets
- Grenade warning markers now reliably cling to the edge of your HUD when explosives land outside your direct field of view.
- The EOD Bot Arm has been reclassified as a light melee weapon, granting faster sprint speeds without the heavy demolition perks of standard melee gear.
Weapons
- Equipping the Match Trigger attachment will no longer disrupt fully automatic fire rates on the BROD and EF88.
UI & HUD
- Mitigated several triggers causing black screens after matches conclude, particularly when transitioning from the Event tab back to the lobby. Investigation into remaining edge cases is ongoing.
- Placeholder squad names and missing icons no longer pop up during the “Top Squad” endgame showcase.
- The Featured Event tab now populates correctly within the main menus.
Portal
- The “Start” tile in Portal Custom Lobbies remains responsive even if you open “Lobby Settings” or the Pause menu while the countdown timer is ticking down.
AI
- AI defenders operating watercraft in Sector 3 of Breakthrough on Wake Island will no longer wander out of bounds and suffer self-elimination.
Stability
- Optimized server performance around water surfaces by trimming redundant calculations.
- Resolved an issue that occasionally caused the game client to freeze on Xbox Series S when transitioning away from active multiplayer matches.
REDSEC
Maps & Modes
- Demolishing structures at the Combat Training POI no longer leaves behind lingering visual artifacts.
- Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep now correctly enforces a strict two-player squad limit.
