A covert, highly trained unit operating in New York City has traced the concealed origins of heavily armed SCIF installations to a shadow organization calling itself Pax Armata. Their reach is expanding — and the threat to the United States is only beginning.

Starting December 9, prepare for an abrupt shift in the conflict: a frozen impasse gives way to an aggressive new condition. The Empire State will succumb to an icy takeover featuring the Ice Lock mechanic, which alters Multiplayer arenas and Gauntlet mode variants. Expect broader Portal improvements and other content updates alongside these changes.
