Battlefield 6 High-Value Target event and June 2026 free trial
Battlefield 6 closed Season 3 with the High-Value Target update on June 30, 2026. Update 1.3.3.0 combined the Wet Work event, Tactical Obliteration, Casual Battle Royale and a limited free trial with broader gunplay, netcode, vehicle, interface and map fixes. The timed trial and event windows described here have ended.

Wet Work and Contracts
Wet Work introduced Contracts across Battlefield 6 multiplayer and REDSEC. Contracts could drop from defeated players in Battle Royale Quads, Casual Battle Royale Quads or Conquest. After collecting one, the squad received a mid-match objective such as eliminating enemies, opening chests, capturing an objective or staying alive. Squadmates could contribute together, but the carrier still had to survive long enough to finish the job.
Tactical Obliteration and Casual Battle Royale
Tactical Obliteration refreshed the squad-focused bomb mode associated with Battlefield 4, while Casual Battle Royale mixed players and bots for a lower-pressure REDSEC entry point. The update also introduced the EOD Bot Arm melee weapon and additional attachment and challenge rewards. Availability depended on the event, ownership and the active playlists.
The June 30-July 6 free trial
The free trial ran for one week and advertised five modes on four maps, including Railway to Golmud, the reworked Cairo Bazaar and Tactical Obliteration. It required Battlefield REDSEC, current game updates, an EA account and a persistent internet connection. Optional purchases remained available, but the trial itself did not grant permanent ownership of Battlefield 6.
Update 1.3.3.0 beyond the event
The underlying patch changed recoil, bullet deviation, muzzle velocity and body-part damage multipliers, alongside anti-air tuning, netcode work, UI and HUD updates, Portal additions, audio polish, AI fixes and map corrections. PC Gamer and XP Gained independently indexed the published notes. Later patches are now more authoritative for current balance values.
High-Value Target dates in July 2026
EA scheduled the Wet Work collection event through July 14 and a Battlefield Pro bonus path for July 7-21. Ranked Battle Royale entered an intermission after Season 3. Those event windows have ended; the live game and current EA news list available playlists and rewards.
