Battlefield 6 Developers Reveal First Season and Post-Beta Changes
The Battlefield 6 team has outlined plans for upcoming seasonal content and post–open-beta adjustments. The game is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2025, with the first season arriving shortly after release. Players can expect new weapons, vehicles, and maps to be introduced on a regular cadence, delivering a steady stream of fresh content for months ahead.
General Manager Byron Bid said a number of changes have already been implemented based on beta tester feedback.
“We’ve made a wide range of changes informed by the open beta — adjustments to weapons, tuning, recoil, and tap-fire behavior, with an emphasis on rewarding accuracy and preserving distinctive feel and effectiveness.”
He highlighted a new kinesthetic combat system that reworks movement to encourage more tactical play. Slide jump impulse has been reduced, jump-spam penalties introduced, and airborne accuracy lowered to reward players who take a measured approach to engagements.
Bid confirmed that a launch patch with additional fixes and improvements is planned:
“We’ve applied further tweaks that you’ll notice at launch and in updates afterward.”
Executive producer Ryan McArthur spoke about anti-cheat measures: during the open beta tens of thousands of players attempted to break the rules, but the Javelin system blocked the majority of those attempts.
“We’ll continue monitoring region-specific cheating and refining our reporting and response systems so issues are dealt with promptly.”.
