Greetings, Operators,
Following our Season 1 Update this past November, our security teams have been diligently monitoring the discourse surrounding fair play in Battlefield 6. We recognize that occasional seasonal briefings are insufficient for maintaining transparency, especially when misinformation often clouds the conversation. To address this, we are committing to more frequent updates that provide a transparent look at our anti-cheat performance and tactical metrics.
It is essential to understand that security data is inherently dynamic. These figures naturally oscillate; improvements occur as we deploy fresh detection algorithms, refine our telemetry, or gain deeper insights into specific exploit methodologies. Conversely, metrics can shift when bad actors identify system vulnerabilities or leverage new exploits. These fluctuations are expected and serve as a critical roadmap for our engineering efforts.
December Performance & Analytics
Match Infection Rate (MIR): This represents the percentage of total matches across the game that were compromised by at least one suspected cheater. This metric is comprehensive, accounting even for those users currently under investigation where enforcement is pending.
In December, the MIR opened at 2.532%. We successfully drove that figure down to 2.025% mid-month, though it eventually spiked to 3.090% during the holiday peak. For context, the highest MIR recorded during our previous October–November reporting period was 2.580% on November 28th.
Throughout the month of December, the EA Javelin Anti-Cheat system successfully neutralized 580,389 attempts to tamper with the game’s integrity before they could impact the player experience. Additionally, our intelligence teams tracked 224 distinct cheating entities, including software developers, hardware distributors, and their respective marketplaces. Of those tracked, 206 (approximately 91.2%) faced significant service disruptions, including detection notices, feature failures, or total operational shutdowns.
As we move into the new year, our focus remains steadfast on proactive detection and rigorous enforcement. You can anticipate our next analytics breakdown for January in approximately one month.
Maintain the integrity of the fight—we’ll see you on the front lines.
