Ariana Grande ‘Most Grateful Human’ After ‘Hate That I Made You Love Me’ Hits No. 1

Ariana Grande has officially joined the elite ranks of the “tens club.” The pop powerhouse took to Instagram on Monday, June 8, to express her sheer disbelief and gratitude after her latest single, “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” debuted at the summit of the Billboard Hot 100—marking her tenth career No. 1 hit.

“I am absolutely overwhelmed with emotion,” Grande shared in her post. “To achieve a tenth number one is something I simply cannot wrap my head around. Every single day, I feel profoundly lucky to pursue my passion, and to share that journey with such a devoted fan base and brilliant collaborators like Max and Ilya is a true honor.”

Reflecting on her journey, which has spanned over a decade of chart-topping success, she added, “The unwavering devotion you all show me is truly humbling. Please know that your support never goes unnoticed and is something I will always cherish. I’m so excited to perform this track for you all—not just tomorrow, but for years to come.”

Serving as the lead single from her upcoming project Petal, the song’s rapid rise to the top of the Hot 100 places Grande in a prestigious position, tying her for the tenth-highest total of No. 1 hits in the history of the chart. The track, which dropped on May 29, also solidified another milestone for producer Max Martin, who extended his own record for the most No. 1 singles by any producer, reaching 28.

According to data from Luminate, “Hate That I Made You Love Me” amassed 23.6 million streams and 18.9 million in radio reach within its first week, accompanied by 70,000 U.S. sales. In addition to its Hot 100 debut, the track also claimed the top spot on both the Digital Song Sales and Billboard Global 200 charts. This success follows her previous chart-topper, 2024’s “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait for Your Love).”

Grande recently electrified audiences with the kickoff of her highly anticipated Eternal Sunshine Tour, which began in Oakland, California, on June 6. Following her remaining shows in the Bay Area, the tour moves on to Los Angeles.

Fans can look forward to the full release of Petal on July 31.
