The past month has been a whirlwind of activity, and we have plenty of ground to cover. In this Community Update, we’re pulling back the curtain on our updated Roadmap, the upcoming features in Patch 13, and our latest community-wide challenge.
First and foremost, we are ecstatic to announce that our ranks have swelled to 12 MILLION players! 🍾 🎉 When we embarked on this journey years ago, we had ambitious hopes, but the reality has far exceeded our grandest expectations. We offer our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you. 💙

The moment you’ve been anticipating has arrived—the refreshed Year 2 Roadmap is live.

Here are the key takeaways from our path forward: 👇
- Salamanders Champion Pack 2: The previously “REDACTED” DLC has been unveiled as our tribute to the Salamanders.
- Wargear Evolution: We are introducing a cross-class Wargear system, allowing you to equip items like capes and Iron Halos on classes that previously couldn’t wear them. These must be earned through gameplay. We are rolling this out in two stages: Patch 13 brings the capes and Iron Halos, while Patch 14 introduces tabards and robes. It’s time to retire the phrase “we’ll never do that” from our list of customisation restrictions! 😉
- Siege Mode Overhaul: Get ready for a total revamp of Siege mode, featuring new gameplay modifiers that open up deep build-crafting potential.
The fight for the Imperium isn’t over yet. We have officially extended live support for Space Marine 2 into a third year, ensuring a steady stream of free updates and expansions. The overwhelming community reception to our recent patches has fueled our passion to keep this momentum going well into the future. 😁
Any content originally slated for Year 2 that didn’t make the cut will be seamlessly carried over into Year 3. While we aren’t ready to share the full scope just yet, rest assured that all promised free content remains free. Stay tuned—we have much more to reveal soon. 😉
Let’s break down what’s arriving in the next major update. Please note: there will be no Public Test Server for this release.
Deploy as the Iron Hands with a new Techmarine Champion skin and a unique look for the Omnissian Axe. The Chapter Customisation Pack also includes a suite of Iron Hands-themed armour: Greaves, Gauntlets, and Pauldrons with full symbol support.

Deploy to Kadaku. Your squad is tasked with investigating Chaos activity near a Cadian base to halt a profane ritual. Here is a first look at the theatre of war:
We are implementing “Trials of Resolve”—high-difficulty challenges designed to test your mastery over the long haul. Some will demand peak performance, such as executing multiple Majoris-tier enemies with single headshots on Absolute difficulty.
With Patch 13, you can begin unlocking shared Wargear. While lore constraints (such as Sniper limitations with the Iron Halo) remain, you will have unprecedented freedom to kit out your Marine. Patch 14 will expand this further to include tabards and robes.
- New Shop Items: Earn Accolades in Siege mode to acquire turrets, explosive ordinance, and support from a Techpriest for currency buffs.
- Dynamic Modifiers: Choose from three “Blessings” every five waves, while navigating one mandatory “Atonement” that can be rerolled using Siege currency.
- Legendary Bosses: The Hive Tyrant and the Vortex Beast are joining the Siege roster.
- Endless Pressure: The timer has been reworked; once it expires, the mission doesn’t end—the enemies simply become relentless.
A new solo-only facility allows you to stress-test your arsenal. Experiment with weapons, track your Damage Per Second (DPS), and practice your combat efficiency against any enemy type you choose. See our 6-minute deep dive video for a full demonstration.
Three new Heroic weapon variants arrive with this patch: a high-damage Charged Plasma Pistol, an Artificer Block Chainsword with increased blocking stacks, and a Power Axe that enables a perfect-block follow-up Power Backstep.
Additionally, we are adding the Secondary Carbine SMG—a rapid-fire sidearm available to Bulwark and Assault classes.
You asked, we listened. You can now save up to three perk loadouts per weapon, significantly reducing time spent in menus and allowing for faster tactical adjustments in the Armouring Hall.
Your objective is clear: complete 5 Operations as either a Vanguard or a Sniper before May 6th to unlock the exclusive Infiltrator Helmet. Go forth and claim your reward, Space Marines! ⚔️
