PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is getting cosmetics “impressed by the Battle Royale film,” says Brendan ‘PlayerUnknown’ Greene in his latest monthly update. He’s now hinted we would see extra crossovers with comparable properties – such because the Hunger Games – sooner or later.
We spoke to PlayerUnknown about his inspiration and the success of Battlegrounds. Check out that interview here.
If you’re a fan of PUBG, you then most likely know that it took place due to the fame Greene earned along with his mods for Arma 2 and three, and DayZ. He referred to as these mods ‘battle royale,’ after a 2000 Japanese motion film (tailored from a 1999 novel). And, in case you take the time to look as you loot, tributes to his inspiration could be discovered all through PUBG.
“I at all times needed to place in one thing into the sport that was a tribute to the film,” Greene tells PC Gamer. “I like that film and it is principally the place I bought began.
