Zombies Return: The House of the Dead 2 Remake Hits Consoles in October

The zombie shooter The House of the Dead 2 is headed to modern platforms soon. The console release date for the remake has been revealed.

Forever Entertainment has confirmed that PlayStation and Xbox owners won’t have to wait long. Several months after the initial launch, the refreshed version of the 1998 rail shooter will arrive on consoles.

The publisher, together with MegaPixel Studios, announced that The House of the Dead 2: Remake will launch on October 24, 2025. The game will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

The remake preserves the original’s structure while delivering completely redesigned visuals, support for modern controllers, and updated lighting effects. It revives the atmosphere of classic arcade halls and the frantic battles against hordes of the undead, now realized with contemporary production values.
