Yungblud Crowd-Surfs in Wheelchair at Concert Despite Broken Leg
Yungblud Defies Broken Leg With Unprecedented Wheelchair Crowd-Surfing Feat in Portugal

British alt-rock powerhouse Yungblud has elevated concert antics to astonishing new heights, transforming a mobility aid into an airborne vessel for an extraordinary crowd-surfing spectacle.
During his headline set on Tuesday (Aug. 19) at Portugal’s historic Vilar de Mouros festival, the dynamic performer refused to let a freshly plastered leg sideline his signature high-octane stage presence. Following a recent dirt-bike mishap, Yungblud took to the stage seated—but soon found himself soaring above a sea of fans.
Addressing the roaring crowd in footage captured by festivalgoers, the singer passionately explained his refusal to bow out of the engagement: “I have a broken leg… and I had two choices: I was either gonna cancel on Portugal, or I was gonna do a shot of Jack Daniels, throw a cast on, and come rock ’n’ roll with you!”

As the energized audience hoisted him and his wheelchair skyward, Yungblud tore through a visceral rendition of his hit single “Fleabag,” crafting an indelible festival memory out of an otherwise restrictive injury.
The daring display comes mere weeks after the musician fractured his limb at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally on August 9. Despite medical setbacks, he assured supporters via social media that the show would go on—a vow he unmistakably fulfilled in Portugal.
Following the gig, the artist humorously documented the stunt on his own feeds, sharing photos alongside the tongue-in-cheek remark: “Good way to break my leg…”
Yungblud is slated to wrap up his current European festival run with a performance at Belgium’s Pukkelpop on August 22.
